Chrismas Voices 2014


The 2017 Choir AGM took place on 19th July at 8pm at the Lisvane Memorial Hall. The minutes are available on the Choir Meetings page.

Voice Parts on You Tube: Just a reminder that you can find the recordings of the voice parts on YouTube care of Alice Fayn Singer. On YouTube click on "Playlists" to locate the voice parts for each concert.

The 2016 Annual General Meeting will take place at the end of the rehearsal on 13th July (subject to confirmation).  An agenda will be circulated to all Choir members beforehand.

Feb 2016; The voice parts for the Huggard charity concert are now on You Tube as "March '16 - Sporano/Alto/Tenor/Bass". See the Alice Fayn link above.

July 2015 - Good News!  The Llysfaen Singers has obtained Registered Charity status. We are now Registered Charity No.1162703

15/7/15 - Choir AGM - Minutes are availble in the Choir Meetings page. All our thanks to Nevil and Beryl who have stood down from their roles. Thanks for all your great work in supporting the choir.

15/7/2015 - The choir donated £250 each to two charities supported at the Summer Concert. Cheques were presented to “Music in Hospitals” and “LATCH”.

19/11/14 Special EGM to consider move to Charitable Trust.
Notice was given on 8/11/14 of the intention to hold an SGM on 19/11/14 to agree registering the Llysfaen Singers Choir as a Charitable Trust. The meeting will seek to agree changes to the constitution to enable this change of status. See "Choir Meetings" page for proposed revised constitution.

Happy 1st Birthday: on 3rd September the Choir members celebrated the first anniversary of the choir forming. See the Photo Album page.

Reminder: Choir practices restart after summer break on Wednesday 3rd September '14 at 7.45pm. 

AGM 16/7/14 - Chairman's Review: Responses to the Village Plan Questionnaire, indicated interest in the formation of a community choir.  An inaugural meeting took place on 23rd June 2013, with Beryl Bowen agreeing to act as Secretary and Ann Doubler as Treasurer.  Rachel Marsh and Phil May were invited to be the Music Director and Accompanist respectively.  Particular thanks were given to the hard work of Margaret Davies and Mary Bye, together with the members of the Community, without whose support the Choir would not have been started.

Social - June '14: Particular thanks are due to Beryl, Mal and Gemma Bowen for hosting the Choir Barbecue on the 6th July, Also, well done to Juliette, Karen and Cath for organising food and to the budding chefs for their hard work slaving away at the barbecues.
